Liam McIIwain- Guest Mentor
A versatile musical theatre performer, Liam trained at the Central QLD Conservatorium of Music and under scholarship at the Dance Factory in Melbourne where he completed a Diploma of Arts (Dance).
Some of his theatre credits include Chitty Chitty Bang Bang(TML), Mary Poppins (Disney/CML), High School Musical – Live On Stage (Jacobsen/RUCAP), Shout! (TML), Cats (RUCAP),Dusty (Dusty Productions), Grease – The Arena Spectacular(SEL/ GFO) and The Pirates of Penzance, Gypsy, Sunset Boulevard and Bye Bye Birdie (The Production Company).
He is currently Dance Captain for Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of Les Misérables, now touring Australia.
In 2012 he produced the charity concert The Brolly Follies at the Judith Wright Centre in Brisbane in aid of the Starlight Children's Foundation. In 2015 he was an associate producer for Out From Under, a charity event at Her Majesty's Theatre in Melbourne, which aimed to remove the stigma surrounding mental health in the performing arts industry. He is also actively involved with Actors Equity sitting on their board, The National Performers’ Committee.
